The All-Championship Team

The National Basketball Association just crowned its 64th champion. Now is the time to start reviewing the accomplishments of the current great players and comparing measuring them against the credentials of the legends. It’s incredibly difficult to rank players in terms of greatness because opinion will always factor in. However, I believe that any list of all time great players will have some combination of the following ten players.

I have assembled a list of the top ten players all time and divided it into first and second teams. The lineups are not conventional in the sense of C-PF-SF-SG-PG, but that should be reflective of the current state of basketball where the most ambiguous positions might be the power forward and small forward. Nevertheless, there are true front court players and true back court players on my line up. While compiling this list, I took into consideration statistics in addition to career accomplishments and accolades. Above all else, winning is what matters to me and matters to my list. There are tons of great players who have stuffed stat sheets but when it came down to the nitty gritty they walked away empty handed while someone greater held up the Larry O’Brien trophy. Therefore, the primary requirement to be on my list is that the players must have won an NBA Championship. Fear not, I will also put together what I call The Biggest Losers so stay tuned for that.

Without further ado, here are my first and second All-Championship Teams.

Second Team

Ron Artest "Champions"

Ron Artest "Champions": As he promised in some of the realest post-Finals win commentary ever, Ron Artest dropped his single, "Champions", which is an bass-driven mess of a declaratory statement. White is all about this nigga, when 5 years ago he was a scoundrel. Long live America.

Shouts to Rap Radar.

Veteran Boston duo N.B.S. delivers what is sure to become a street anthem for the Boston Celtics, entitled “Who are We? Released just in time for what is sure to be a heated match up against the rekindled rivalry with the LA Lakers, this track is sure to fuel the fire at home and worldwide that will push the Celtics over the edge and secure them yet ANOTHER championship…
