TBLA. 4-11

Well, all good things must come to an end. Just as quickly as our "win streak" started, it has ended. It is becoming increasingly clear to me that this is a lost season. Call me pessismistic if you want to, but I was the one who said that the bulls would win the championship before this season started. Once again, I have proven that when it comes to the bulls post-Jordan, I know nothing.
A loss to the Mavs isn't anything to be too mad about, but when your best guys play like trash and one of their (Josh Howard) goes off against your untradeable best player (Luol Deng) then there is reason to be pissed off. You would hope that at some point your best guys can string more than two solid games together but it appears that they will forever play like rookies. Streak shooter Ben Gordon spit out 10 points after dropping 34 agains the Bobcats, Luol Deng had 10 after scoring 29 in the previous contest, and Ben Wallace played all 48 minutes and didn't crack double digits in rebounds or points. Tyrus Thomas is a permanent resident of Scott Skiles' doghouse and played the first 7 minutes and was never seen nor heard from again. Kirk Hinrich actually made his first (good) appearance of the season, scoring 18 points, dishing out five assists and only having one turnover. His shooting was terrible yet again (5-16), but at least he was 7-7 from the free throw line. Andres Nocioni was the top performer this evening, scoring 30 points off the bench. Chris Duhon needs to be our starting point guard. I can't believe I just said that. However, he provided solid play at the point and contributed 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 27 minutes of action. Joakim Noah came back and chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds in 14 minutes. Thabo sucks.
Josh Howard owned the bulls last night. Luol Deng wants max dollars but can't contain his counterpart. We have no one who can even remotely hold Dirk Nowitski. The list goes on and on. Our best guys can't keep up with the elite players around the league. Hustle ain't cuttin' it anymore.
I wonder how O.J. Mayo will look in a bulls uniform...
